The World Cup has a way of bringing people together, and at Definity, we wanted to turn that excitement into something our team could enjoy throughout the tournament.

That idea became Forecast FC, an internal prediction market-style game created for Definity employees. The platform lets team members use virtual Cup Coins to predict World Cup matches, follow live markets, grow their portfolios, and compete on a leaderboard, all for fun, with no real money involved.

The concept was created by Fernando Gutierrez, CTO at Definity, who wanted to build a different kind of internal experience around the tournament. Instead of a traditional office pool, Forecast FC gives employees multiple ways to participate. They can pick match winners, predict total goals, explore tournament markets, and react as prices change throughout a game.

What makes the project especially interesting is how quickly it came together.

Forecast FC was built in around 30 hours using Claude and Definity’s internal GSD framework. Claude supported the development process, including creating a game simulation, while the visual design was built using Claude Design based on a simple creative reference.

The result is a fully functional internal app that combines friendly competition, real-time decision-making, and a simple, engaging user experience. Employees start with 10,000 Cup Coins, make predictions, buy and sell shares, and see their results update automatically as matches unfold.

Forecast FC is a fun internal project, but it also reflects the way our team likes to build: starting with a clear idea, using the right tools to move quickly, and staying focused on creating something people will actually enjoy using.

In this case, AI helped accelerate the process, but the experience still depended on the direction, judgment, and creativity behind it. The result was a small but meaningful internal app that brought the tournament into our day-to-day in a more interactive way.

Now that Forecast FC is live, the only thing left to do is watch the leaderboard and see who makes the best calls throughout the tournament.
