Our Story
Definity was founded on friendship, curiosity, and a shared passion for technology. What began in 1995 as two high school friends in Torreón, Mexico, designing websites and experimenting with the early internet evolved when, in college, Mauricio Durán and Fernando Gutiérrez met Omar Del Río.
After years of gaining experience in the U.S., the three reunited in Monterrey and officially launched Definity in 2004, guided by a simple but powerful philosophy: results first.
Over the past two decades, Definity has grown from a small, close-knit team into a global technology partner. We’ve expanded our technology ecosystem with strategic partnerships with Microsoft and Vercel, and combine consulting services with our own in-house frameworks and nearshore technical powerhouse.
Today, we are energized by the possibilities of AI and emerging technologies, but our foundation remains the same: a company built on long-standing relationships, strengthened by more than 20 years of experience, and dedicated to helping our clients shape what’s next.
Freddy Castro, CEO of Definity since 2022, brings more than two decades of experience in IT consulting, digital transformation, and enterprise innovation. Freddy is recognized for his ability to bridge deep technical expertise with strategic business leadership. His background spans architecture, data, AI, customer experience, and commercial performance, enabling him to translate emerging technologies into tangible business outcomes.
At Definity, Freddy focuses on helping organizations adopt Agentic AI, modernize digital experiences, and operate with greater speed, intelligence, and resilience.
