Gartner’s Market Guide is intended to help sourcing, procurement, and vendor management leaders evaluate alternative support solutions and identify providers that can deliver strong service and long-term value.

According to Gartner, vendors included in the Market Guide were identified based on capabilities such as:

  • Being a service provider, software reseller, and/or Microsoft and its Cloud Solution Provider partners

  • Providing services across Microsoft’s broad product catalog and supporting products according to Microsoft’s published support life cycle

The report also reflects a broader shift in the market. Gartner projects that by year-end 2026, third-party providers of Microsoft support will represent 25% to 30% of the market, up from 10% to 15% in 2022.
